Background
To

initiated and organised the first nonprofit expo in 1996, the showcase
of
Hungarian civil society organisations. Entitled CIVILIÁDA 2005 the
event will
take place for the 10th consecutive year in Budapest on 13-14 October,
2005 with the main
emphasis on civil opportunities and the future of the European Union.
CIVILIÁDA 2005
Over
250 civil society organisations will be represented on more than 100
stands
where they will provide information on their programmes, activities and
introduce themselves to the general public. The organisations
exhibiting at
CIVILIÁDA 2005 are active in a wide range of fields including: EU
integration,
environment, employment, youth, service providers, human resources,
health,
disabled and many others. The organisers pay special attention to
organisations
coming from the countryside to be able to actively take part.
Programmes
Topical and
relevant issues of civil society will be discussed in the form of
workshops,
seminars, lectures and presentations during the two days of CIVILIÁDA
2005 with
strong focus on different issues: the civil strategy of the European
Union,
dialogue between government and civil society, the experiences of the
National
Civil Fund of Hungary.

institutions and NGOs: new challenges and opportunities
